Upcoming Crew Events

Red, Rythm, and Boom Event

Crew members have been requested to help out the city of Mason during the Red, Rythm, and Boom Event. From 5:30 till 10:30 on July 3rd, they've requested some assistence in keeping the large garbage cans from over-flowing. Our job is to simply remove the full bag, tieing it off, and setting it to the side of the can, where it can be picked up in the morning.

The Event should be a great time with Two parachute jumps and great music from "Off the Hook", "InPulse", and the main show of "Huey Lewis and the News". This should be a great time.

To help advertise our involvement in the community, we would like to ask you to wear your Orange Crew Shirts if you can, or the grey Crew shirt.

Please make every effort to be there!!! We need the help, parents are encouraged to help out as well.

Crew Offsite - Frisbee Golf

It’s time for our Crew Offsite, this Tuesday June 16^th from 6:30 – 8pm. With a busy month we thought we would just have some fun by going to the sports park (** You must bring a Frisbee) The Crew will be will be meeting at the Mason Sport Park for a game of Frisbee Golf. All Crew members should bring their best Frisbee and meet up at the Mason Sports Park. The directions are below. From experience you may want to bring some mosquito repellent.

GUINNESS - Record Breaking Event - July 17,18,19 2009 at Gilboa Quarry

Venture Crew 194 is sponsored by the Mason United Methodist Church in Ohio. We work with the Local Troops: 194, 500, 750, 43 as a stepping sone for kids to develop leadership. We also work with the local Mason Packs: 43, 500, 750, 230, 323, 875, 998 to provide leadership and to the kids develop a strong interest in scouting. THe Crew is part of the Hopewell District and part of the Dan Beard Council. Our crew members love the following types of activitities: Rifle and Pistol shooting, Canoeing, Hiking, Scuba Diving, Swimming, Camping, Biking, and many other fun events. Many of the crew members attend Mason High school kids and are active in their churches. We like the kids to focus on leadership as their core strengths and they will oftend demonstrate these abilities through planning actvities and often will continue these skills outside of the Venture Crew. We've seen them organize their own paintball sessions, lazer kraze parties, and many other events, even outside of the Crew.
